This vineyard is located atop a ridge overlooking the valley of the Garonne where old windmills used to work the low country’s cereals. The soil is so stony than after a heavy rain, all traces of arable land disappear, and only the stones shine in the sun. These stones absorb the heat and the scents, to provide a red wine very fragrant and smooth.
One part of the “Château Arnaud Jouan” vineyard is located at the foot of the hills and another part on the sunny slopes, in the town of Cadillac. The wine is very appreciated for its quality production. Its position, the nature of its soil, the fine grape-variety proportion and the cares brought to the vinification, contribute to give to the whole of these wines a well specific character and bouquet permitting an excellent ageing.
Entirely part of the Château Haut Mondain, this vineyard includes on the adjacent top, some plots, principally gravelly.
Family’s historic property, this château was acquired in 1962 from the Limousin family who had owned it for more than a century. The quality of the wine is due, mostly, to the soil’s variety: heavy and chalky clays, sweet lands as well as fine grave.
This family property, acquired in 1993, has been entirely renovated. Located at the top of the small “Haut Benauge” valley, the vineyard enlarges upon the “Château Haut Mondain” heights. These 15 hectares of vines are producing a quality Bordeaux.
With a very good exposition on a little plateau away from the Garonne fogs, the château “Les Hauts de Palette” involves a vineyard of 20,000 vine stocks producing an excellent red wine. The production of 30,000 bottles is handed out to faithful customers who appreciate the quality of this respectable land. This family estate has been part of the best vintages of the town of Béguey for over a century
Bringing together two entities “Château du Moulin” and “Château du Tassin”, this property has two very different and complementary types of soils. Located on the towns of Béguey and Monprimblanc, the vineyard comprises about ten hectares.
